Homecoming

Saturday, October 31st was ASU's homecoming.

I have don't follow college football.
I have never been to an ASU game
I'm still not 100% sure how the is even game played
Don't get me wrong I don't hate football in fact I'm a Cardinals fan because Ross is a huge fan and it's fun to sit down on Sunday and watch a game or two but I'm not gaga over it.

Now a parade about ASU football just down the street?? I AM ALL OVER THAT.

Saturday morning I made Ross get up early (*cough* 11!) so we could both go to the ASU homecoming parade for the first time.

There were tons of booths out and about and different programs and groups on campus with stations set up with fun games and activities
(I actually saw my college there and almost asked the director of my program if she got my emails and if we could discuss graduate programs but I figured when she was handing candy to kids wouldn't be the most opportune time)
We found a photobooth and took great pictures with foam fingers that I would post but I'm without a scanner so you will just have to take my word that they were cute.
We found a giant spider that ended up moving when I walked over to it and scaring the crud our of me.

But Ross made best friends with it.

It was nice to finally go to a homecoming parade and even nicer now that we are heading into November and the holiday season.

I hope you all had a happy halloween- I'll post about ours later =)

This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween.

Halloween weekend is here! With it comes just about everyone's favorite time of year! Next is thanksgiving, MY 21st BIRTHDAY, Christmas, New Years, and then hopefully some vacation time.

In Arizona it means so much more too because we finally get some of colder weather and i can wear boots (which I have a whole post about shoes coming up) and sweaters and jackets.

Not to mention how fun the holidays are with family and food and this year will be so much more special doing things with Ross.

We have yet to carve pumpkins but I made some pumkin bread and cookies already and I'm ready for more.

Me and Ross already dressed up this year. Thank goodness for early halloween parties and being forced to pick out a costume is all I have to say.

and this year we are:

an ASU football player and referee.

It's funny because I got these gold leggings from American Apparel to wear as my football shorts and everyone thought I wasn't wearing pants because apparently I'm gold! My skin color was so close that people were telling me they didn't want to look down for fear f being a perv or something but I pulled up my jersey and showed everyone the top of my leggings so they would believe me.

Hey, I guess it's better than being orange like Snooki.

I hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween and what is everyone goes as and what plans do you all have?
I'm trying to convince Ross to go see Rocky Horror live at the Madcap Theatre here in Tempe but I have late homework and so much stuff to do that this may be a quieter Halloween for me.

Maybe next year when I'm not doing 10 million things at once I'll go big on Halloween and make this picture become reality...

Thanks Piknic for letting me twilight myself.

Where is my Mind?

I miss this.

I finally looked at my blog in over months to look something up and gasped at how much i missed this. It hurt not to write and love each and everyone one of you as I had been doing for so long and it does feel like I've been cut off from friends.

School I blame school, and work, and Modern Family and Glee, and sleep for not every having the time to even think about this and write.

I read though...boy did I read. I may have not commented since I was reading during lectures and in bed and on my phone at work but I was reading and missing you all.

Today I looked at this blog for the first time in ages and there was a message from Caitlin about how we lost touch and it was a very blatant sign for me to write again. Thank you Caitlin and I miss you (and Rasha...I live JUST DOWN THE STREET and yet here we are and I'm forgetting what you look like)

I'm almost out of the storm that is Senior year.
I have established life in Tempe
I got a job MONTHS ago at a shoe store nearby.
I have a store coming, for real this time and I'm working hard to crochet with love for you.

I missed you.
I really did.
But oh am I happy...and so much happier now to be back.
